I was held hostage by my past limiting beliefs and I know I am not the only one. You too may be captured and held by the invisible bonds of your past experiences. The threads in our mind hold us back just as strong as any iron bars and brick buildings. I want share with you some ideas; non mystical, non magical to snip those threads of invisible bondage and set you free again!
As we grow and learn as young children, youths and adults, we form our beliefs is through our direct experiences, sometimes our loved ones experiences and stories to us. We do something, a task or act; then something happens and we draw conclusions. Often such beliefs are helpful to our learning curve, but they can also be very limiting. Sometimes positive, sometimes negative. Solidifying a mental conclusion of “I can’t, I don’t, I mustn’t, Others can, I am not, Those kind of people can”.

I enjoyed sharing with you my personal limiting and self beliefs; because I know that speaking them to life I can also set them free. BUT more importantly that by sharing my own struggles and how I have moved forward might light the path for another to follow my path I have put light upon..
So I ask you .. Are you held up in your past; affecting your todays? Are they still your reality? Are they a positive belief? A negative belief? Are you ready to begin exploring ideas to free yourself; choosing to be no longer held hostage by limiting beliefs?
Here are some ideas to start breaking down those brick walls and invisible bonds:
First, think about and isolate the “belief” that you think is holding you back, ask yourself what happened to make this “real” in your mind.. ask yourself, is that still real, what made you think that? Why did you think that? Is that real? Keep going backwards ..

Second, (by this point) You may have already discovered and resolved it is a real belief; needed and necessary or is it one that due to circumstances and time is one that can be put to rest. Understanding that we can re learn, be open and willing to move forward past the negative old thinking of the belief.
Third, start with baby steps to build and create new patterns of beliefs! Plan small doable tasks that you can 100% do and build upon that positive foundation. For example: for myself when I first started doing video, I never showed my face, just creating a small travel video documentary, you can hear my voice but never see my face .. Baby steps!!
You can CHOOSE to change your ” I Can’t” to my “I Can..” in small bite sized pieces, daily doable actions 🙂
Just because it “what was” does not mean it cannot be your new and fresh “now” or “tomorrow”.
You can enjoy your todays and take off the shackles that bind of your yesterdays when you take the time to look them in the eye, taking the time to honestly dig into them, tackling them one at a time.
