When the world seems to be spinning to fast, in the man eat man, dog eat dog world of marketing and business online.. That is when I encourage you to take a big breath, push away the keyboard and remember that our deepest power, truest path to our success is all in “Embracing Our Femininity & High Touch in Business”.
Life can get crazy; we as women go through this roller coaster of life… then for a wild twist, just add the hormones! I know I know.. This is a touchy feely subject, that I feel has not been shared enough about.
What about when you “Don’t wanna crush it”; “When you Don’t wanna have massive action”; “When you Don’t feel momentous, colossal, huge, immense!” Such very “masculine” words and expressions. Sometimes we just don’t feel like that for a few days in our month and that’s OKAY.
There’s a lot of women out there that aren’t “running at the tippity top of our game”. We might be not “feeling our best”. It’s important to remember that we have different things going on inside our body and we need to acknowledge those feelings, emotions or we can get really mean and down on ourselves. (Add in perhaps seasonal holidays, family dynamics, weather changes on top that, eek!!)
Femininity is not a weakness.
So often, that’s when the negative chatter starts going on in our brains. That’s when we can start feeling guilt because we didn’t get something done, or we’re feeling ashamed because we didn’t follow through with something, or we’re feeling frustrated because things just didn’t line up as planed. We have these goals and we wanna get things done and it’s not happening; What is going on?!
Catch my deeper insights here;
I want to encourage you to take a big breath, do some reflection. We as women have to acknowledge and celebrate ourselves, the deeper woman that we are. Embracing our femininity, seeking high touch situations where our light can shine and we can also re light our own inner fire!
Sometimes we don’t feel our best, and if you continue to push and “DO IT ALL” using and applying those really high male energies / action leadership attributes in situations, it can be very draining. We know we have both energies in us, at different times not only of the month, but also of the year as well!
We as women have life patterns and cycles.
I personally had to tune in to how this was working within my family; because my husband works shift work (he works nights then on days off, then back to nights), so I tiptoe around the house and let him sleep. I’ve had to learn how to work my business in patterns due to his work schedule, so that’s how I manage to stay sane, also emotionally and productively.
Remember that during those times of testosterone through your veins and you feel amazing… ROCK IT!! Take some time to reflect through your week, your month when you felt most powerful, when you felt MOST strong and knock it out of the ball park!!
On the other days when you just can’t rise up to “that same bar”; acknowledge it, embrace it… Maybe that’s the time for some introvert time, self care, pour into you; curl up in the couch with a book, do some journaling, so when that feeling and energies comes back then the notes will be there to inspire and implement!
As women within business we need to be understanding & ask questions; Where is that woman in your friendship circle/team/client “within her rollercoaster of life/energy”? What cycle in her life is occurring? Maybe there are things going on in her life!
We have different energies and different life obligations, so that’s why I believe that being part of a great communication connection & tribe where you can talk honestly is so important… We need to be able to recognize and embrace what is going on so we are not feeling guilt, blame, shame or frustration!
People drop the ball, we’re human. We need to be able to embrace and forgive ourselves, so we can work forward in a happy way!
Tips and Solutions;
- Mark down your patterns. On your calendar or journal and do some cross reference with the moon and the stars and your hormones. Take things off your plate on your to-do list.
- Acknowledge and Celebrate. Make sure you have a variety of things on your to-do list so if you don’t feel like doing a live video, or putting some great copy… enlighten yourself and take some down time so you can rise up and be ready and focused, not depressed! Whether you’re a guy or a girl you’re going to have a burn out if you stay in massive action mode. You CAN’T keep up that kind of momentum.
- Set some fresh goals. Make a plan with a list of things that you can do when you don’t even feel like you’re going to do it. Set Fresh Goals, create and make a list of 3+ New Goals per week. Strategize and make them doable, make one of them a Stretch and Grow goal. Different ones for different times of the month.
- Be attentive to your own inner voice. Avoid self-criticism, forgive yourself and let it go. Do not beat yourself up. Instead plan and think about “Next time”. Take control of what you CAN and let the rest Go. Tomorrow is a new day, the sun will set and the sun will rise!
Everything has it’s cycle; Fall to Winter, Christmas to Valentines Day, New Moon to Full Moon…
Recognize that within yourself and your business, recognize that within the women of your team, clients & customers. And remember that if someone’s having a bad day it’s usually not about you!
